Feb. 8th, 2008 06:24 amI - am clearly on crack, since I've spent the last few minutes thinking about how awesome it'd be to write about characters in Romeo and Juliet as though reviewing a concept album from a new artist. Romeo would obviously be something ridiculously angsty like Evanescence, Mercutio - all about the women and the weird drug-esque ramble - could be rap...
Yeah. I blame the dreams about Joe Flanigan (who was really quite awesomely hot), Lisa Kudrow, Alan Davies and Jeremy Clarkson. I don't know how that's related to Shakespearean concept albums, but there ya go.
I still have a lesson to plan for today, but I have a pretty clear idea of what I'm going to do with them, I just have to solidify it and plan the resources. And I'm pretty sure I have at least one free lesson and a break time to get that sorted. I have found that the impetus to do well is far higher when the point is to Remain Awesome rather than Stop Being Crap; I already know I'm crap, see, whereas awesome is a huge surprise and feels good.
