*giggles* I'd kinda be tempted to call him just to see him shrieking on a chair, but I decided in the end that Jeannie would totally be the most matter of fact about it.
Hm, the island question. First I wanted to be just shallow and choose John, Ronon and or Rodney, but then I remembered that I'm trapped and Teyla's pretty and not easily bored unlike the other three.
Oh, and Emmett of course,'cause he's a herpe--herpo--- plays with snakes. Soft-y science. Rodney's nightmare.
For question #5, are we talking about Dave at the beginning of the movie, or Dave at the *end* of the movie? Because I firmly believe that Dave at the end of the movie would freak ANYONE out.
Dude, that's absolutely who I'm talking about. Seriously, I want to see Hodgins and Rodney get in a slap fight over what is and is not a 'soft science'.
"See, if I were in Mortal Peril, the odds are that SGA-1 would be there already. The odds are that SGA-1 would have caused it. "
MY THOUGHT EXACTLY.
I love these guys like my...long lost and also much older brothers and sisters (well, if we lived in West Virginia?), but seriously: not the people I want to rely on for life-saveage.
Exactly. I'd prefer to be on, say, Lorne's team who're called out roughly once a week to extract SGA-1 from dreadful situations and carefully resist the urge to pat them fondly on the head and then ground them.
How d'you reckon Rodney would react to Betty? I actually think he'd be more or less okay with it...after a BIG freakout and some ranting, maybe even some manly passing out ;) In my head Rodney loves all pets. Yeah, maybe I'm delusional, but it's fun!
It was a toss-up between Carter and McKay, but I strongly suspect that if I were trapped on a desert island with Rodney McKay, I'd kill him before we managed to escape. Also, I am a shallow, shallow lesbian.
This should have been tickies. The last question alone had me pondering for an embarrassing long time who I'd prefer in a time of crisis. I was torn between SG1 and SGA1 when I realized neither had all that great track records for saving people other than themselves, so I went with the Scooby gang, cause that at least would increase my chances of coming back as anything else, too. But it was tough.
Hello - Pentapus linked to this and it's probably the greatest thing ever. I seem to have gone with the crowd on most of these with the sole exception of the who to freak Rodney out question.
This one caused me a lot of problems: 1. Patrick - has issues, but would get Rodney's sympathy/not be sufficient to 'freak him out'.
2. Emmett - might be weirded out by the snake thing, but he's a brilliant scientist - no freaking.
3. Dave - He'd be intrigued by the 'Nothing' aspect, but don't think Dave would seriously 'freak' him out.
4. Michael - All we know about Michael really is he has a limp and he's gay. Limp wouldn't freak Rodney out. Then there's the gay thing - not enough to freak Rodney out - unless he catches Michael having sex with one of his friends - but that would apply to any of his lookalikes getting it on with someone he knows.
5. 48 hours Rodney - Upset him maybe, not freak out - unless there's a temporal paradox concern. I can see Rodney being embarrassed or annoyed by him but not freaked out.
SO I didn't feel any would freak him out, but then I wondered which of his doubles would. I think Grant Jansky from Traders or David Worth from Cube. With Grant you have a genius - whose own mind turns on him and affects the way he perceives reality. With David you have a genius - whose own work is used to kill people he (comes to) cares about and himself.
That was totally my reasoning! I figured Jeannie would probably be the most matter-of-fact about it. Caleb looks the type to be either a)scared of or b)too tolerant of spiders.
I'd say 'decoration' but Ronon is pretty damned decorative on his own, frankly.
The funny thing is this poll has totally had me questioning my choices, since everyone else seems to have thought so very much harder about why they've chosen who they have...
I'm frankly chuffed that Keller has out-and-out won the pub crawl, though.
I went with 48 hours Rodney partly for the hair and partly for the massive change he's undergone as a result of Atlantis. To be honest, though, I suspect Dave from Nothing would've been the better choice, because dude. Bouncing head.
I have to say I'm ridiculously chuffed that this has prompted so much deep thought, though! XD
"If I was in Mortal Peril I'd want..." was strangely hard for me! First I considered SGA-1, because of Rodney and Ronon's knives and Teyla's ass-kicking abilities. But it seemed more likely that they'd be in peril along with me than actually rescuing me. *G* So I was stuck between the Squint Squad and The Fantastic Four. I finally decided that I'd go with The Fantastic Four purely because of superpowers.
Are you referring to that ep where Bones and Hodgins were kidnapped, cuz that's totally what I was thinking when I picked them for the answer. Of course, Booth would have to be there too to urge them on. :)
Absolutely on the part of SGA-1. My theory was that they would have caused the trouble in the first place. Fandom has cast them as so much more inept, in my head, than they perhaps deserve - although that's not to say they're not close. :D
I went with the Squint Squad... largely because of Hodgins' incredibly blue eyes. It's a theme with me.

I can see either of those freaking Rodney out.
And that's my overly-thought-out response. :)
