Hello my loves! I'm in Caaaaaardiff with [livejournal.com profile] liz666, who has just traumatised me with that stolen Earth doctor who episode, but she made it better with bacon and fried egg sarnies. Marvellous. I think she's softening me up, since I'm going to be helping with mini-[livejournal.com profile] liz666's birthday party.

Anyway, yes - should I be slightly contact-less over the next few days it'll be due to the time-honoured combination of strong drink and weak minds company, spotty internet connections, and DavidTennantJohnBarrowmanJamesRodayDulé HillJoshCharlesPeterKrauseDavidHewlettJoeFlanigan. I have a hard life.

Oooh, Cardiff! And Who and SGA and PSYCH! Aww. And I don't know the fourth show you'll be watching, but. Have fun! Enjoy! Don't let the pterodactyls from the Rift eat you! (Pouring BBQ sauce on yourself would be a bad idea.)

That sounds like a rocking good time! :D

And YAY Psych! \o/ I am happy you like that show (most people I know have either never heard of it or inexplicably hate it). And besides being an awesome show in itself, it is set in my hometown. :D Though it is filmed in Canada, which looks nothing like my hometown, so I find it amusing when they show lush green forests and find dinosaur bones and stuff. Real Santa Barbara is in dry southern California, where nothing is lush and tends more towards brown than green, and we have no dinosaurs. But! The transition shots between scenes are of real Santa Barbara, so I always squee at that. Actually, I kind of desperately want to live in Psych!Santa Barbara because it's lots cooler, with a planetarium and intriguing museums and, you know, James Roday and Dulé Hill.

I lived there for four years, it's made watching teh Who and Torchwood a faintly bizarre experience.

I suspect you would, yes. It's about Shawn Spencer who's a complete slacker with an eidetic memory and a father who wanted him to join the police force, but rather than be organised about it he pretends to be a psychic detective instead. It's one of those shows where the lead characters just work SO WELL with each other, and you can tell that half the lines are improvised, and it's just so good.

Sports Night! Which is really quite incredibly gay and intensely pleasing. Sorkin dialogue is a lot of fun to write, and there's some (but not nearly enough) good fic in the fandom.

And there're no pterodactyls as yet, but my friend's kid is called Myfanwy if that counts? XD

I do not understand how people could possibly dislike Psych. Seriously.

Also: that's like watching Doctor Who, except I lived in the place it's filmed not where it's set. So I'm just like... THE UNDERGROUND IS NOT IN THE ST DAVIDS CENTRE WHAT

XD

Sadly I'm a North Wales bunny, spent waaaaaaaaaay too much of my life there (my dad's involved with the railway between Blaenau and Potmadog
