I'm just finding it faintly hilarious, how complicated coming up with the soundtrack is. See, the thing is it's really not a soundtrack, it's a mix tape, one that is reasonably important in the story, so as well as picking out the songs I also have to do the whole playing the last few seconds of each song so I can pick the ideal segue. That's fine, that's not too hideous. The really tricky bit is that... well, one character is making a mix tape for another. Now he thinks that he's just including songs that he thinks the other will like - which he is - but there's also the fact that he's subconsciously picking songs that say something about their relationship. So I have to vet them for a character's conception of the other character's music taste, while also making sure that there also clumsy attempts to ensure that they're not obvious.
*laughs*
I mean, I totally love them because they suck at communication, but damn.
