The lie revealed...
Oct. 18th, 2003 12:53 amOkay, I'm posting a lot tonight. But I'm going away for the weekend, and will likely not get online at all. So nuts to you. =)
My dad once dislocated my arm.
True! But completely accidental. I was a small suicidal tot, and tried to run across the road. Not a good plan. Dislocated my arm, yes, but saved my life. So, on balance, yay Dad!
The only time I've ever been hit by a car, my mother was driving.
True! It wasn't very hard, but still... hey!
I wore an eyepatch as a kid.
True! I had a squint, and I wore a big-ass plaster over my left eye. Many pictures of me with party dress and plaster... yet, bizarrely, I had friends. Maybe they were odd looking. I don't recall. *g* I also had train tracks later in life, with an attachment at night that strapped around my head and made me dribble. Nice.
I was in a Ruth Rendell TV adaptation as a kid.
Lie! I auditioned to be in it, because I was a member of a Speech and Drama school at the time, but it was one of those things where they already had the costumes and were looking for size rather than talent. I was always a tall kid. (At least... that's what I told myself.) =)
I was very nearly called Christopha, and I'm *so* glad I wasn't...
True! My mother's best friend was called Christopher, and he was killed in a hit and run accident when he was 18. I was the second girl, and mum briefly toyed with naming me after him, but chose to go Biblical instead. My brother's middle name is Christopher.
isolde9,
dancingskeleton, any drabbles you'd like to request? *g*
