I totally agree with both. I just don't really know how to construct an argument on the fly - I'm really shit at listening and deconstructing and reconstructing, I have to make arguments in text before they make sense to me and frequently they still don't. I've been exercising my brainmeats more and more, but I'm still slow. I don't know what the best way to go about it is.

As to the writing, yeah. Needs to be done. Possibly less publicly, since that's where I always screw up.

Think more, and remember to take a moment before saying something that could be construed as emotional blackmail (ie., instead of "THIS HURTS MEEEEEE", "this could be taken as hurtful, and is also inaccurate"?).
