Contrary to some of fandom belief, I think Dean is one of those people who would be pretty good at whatever he set his mind to, he's just that determined. And smarter than some of fandom gives him credit for being.

Yeah, precisely. But Dean kind of thinks it too, I think - that he is just a weapon and Daddy Winchester's blunt instrument and so on, even after all the things that've happened to him. The detox stuff was terrifying, but it's good to see him doing so well out of his natural element. Looking at his reaction was interesting, too; being faintly surprised and pleased at his progress, while Sammy threw a hissy fit and insisted he was MORE SPECIAL THAN THIS!

I'm really glad to be home - it was wonderful visiting liz666 but now I feel the need to be productive. I've cleared my mind about a lot of things; I'm probably going to be moving into a place of my own in the summer, for a start, which is... unnerving.

Oh, no, I've moved out of my parents' place years ago - 8 years ago, actually, with one year living back there because it was easier for a job. This time I'm looking at getting a flat just for me, because I need to take more responsibility for my life; plus I'm sick of my bedroom being the living room. It's going to hopefully force me to be more active about seeking social interaction and suchlike. Only disadvantage is I think my flatmate is feeling kinda hurt...

Hee, I know. I meant the on-your-owness of it. But I think it would help you, a little, to try and focus on what you need to do for yourself rather than let others kind of push you a long. Proactiveness is good.

It sucks this is hurting Smaller, who is awesome. But I think you do need to do this.
