May. 10th, 2009 01:51 pmJust watched Torvill and Dean skating to Ravel's Boléro, and I have no idea why, but it must be said that there's something quite marvellously epic about watching bread dough slide out slowly onto the work surface with Boléro playing in the background. Inappropriate soundtracks for the win!
I've got a metric crapton of paper all over my bedroom floor, and it's been there for over a week now; I've tidied around it, at least, so my room is reasonably clean apart from the slipping sliding avalanching heap of it, but it's starting to bug me. I need to sort through it, throw what I can away and sort the rest into easily revisable-fromable folders; the amount of notes I took and photocopied and was given last year for teacher training is quite ridiculous, and I'm going to recycle as much as I can of it.
I live for the holidays, really. I claw back what I can in them, get a moment ahead of myself just in time to fall behind some more. At least I notice that the planning's getting shorter; I'm still no good at future planning, at working when I don't have a deadline nibbling gently on my neck, but at least I'm spending a little less time stressing about it all. Enough that once I've done the beta (priority) and planned a lesson (a little less so) I plan to write a little silly Merlin fic, although in all probability it'll never see the light of day. Screw it - it'll make me happy.
