nnyA small illustration of the kind of day I've been having today YESTERDAY I DECREE IT TO BE SATURDAY:
Nny (red-faced, embarrassed, OMG HAVE TO TALK TO PEOPLE): Um, excuse me cashier person? I gave you a £20 note and I only have a few pound coins in my purse now.
Cashier person (exasperated): Yes. There's a tenner in your hand.
Nny (looking down blankly): Yes. Yes there is.
Cashier person (slowly and carefully): You're not having a good day today are you, dear?
No.
Also, litany of complaints: I am so tired that I ache all over, my cough is getting steadily worse and breathing is uncomfortable, and when I left the building the defunct yale lock on the inside of the door gashed my arm, so now I have a faintly bleeding welt all the way across my wrist. The other cashier, the one in Asda, is so lucky she didn't ID me. I may have accidentally killed her.
Therefore overly indulgent shopping: posh Mediterranean veg, two beers, olives, houmous. This is as much as I can afford treat wise, these days. I can't really afford to keep my job. :/

crysothemis is my favourite thing about today, she is star shaped and sparkly. Also torakowalski and liz666.
