You, I think, would like The Vintner's Luck if you haven't already read it. It has gayness and angels! But also it has really gorgeous descriptions, and the end makes me tear up.

I love how deeply you think about things, how you can summarise a book beautifully and be aware of where it falls down and warn for that while still squeeing about it. I tend to get blinded by squee, so I respect the edge of rationality to your thoughts.

For you, I recommend a film called Nothing, which has David Hewlett in, and is possibly the weirdest thing I have ever watched ever. O.O I still kinda prod the memory of it cautiously, every now and again, to see if it actually existed.

I think you should try Stitch (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stitch-Tommy-Kovac/dp/0943151295/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255634738&sr=8-8) by Tommy Kovac. It's like if a baby Gaiman - who hadn't quite got his writing mojo on yet - had written a gay comic. It's kind of weird and cute and is dedicated to the guys RL boyfriend, which makes it all the more adorable. :D

(I don't, as in I haven't seen the whole thing, but I have seen enough to know that Ryan is who Kurt learned all his gay from - except Kurt has better fashion sense - and also that Ryan and I-think-his-name's-Chad-the-one-who-plays-baseball are really really really gay for each other, in a 'how exactly did that song where dancing is clearly a euphemism for gay sex get anywhere near the Disney channel?' way, but Ryan would SO go there anyway.
