There's a part of me that really appreciates the enthusiasm and the traffic and suchlike, and there's another part of me that's really in it for the fanfic potential and creative input potential; this is the part that doesn't actually fancy either of the male leads or want to see them in any state of undress. And especially not every day.

SRSLY. Martin would have to eat the rest of the cast before anyone in this show was remotely attractive to me. I do not need to see him naked, nor do I need to see Ben naked. Also, I find Lestrade irritating and want to choke the fangirls.

I originally joined because I knew thought there would be tons of lengthy, intelligent fic to read and because I wanted to get into the groove of writing for a new fandom.

I am being selfish and not actually reading any fanfic yet, unless it's recced to me specifically, because I suspect there'd be a lot of tropes I'm not interested in. I'm being a total fandom snob and I do feel kind of bad for that, but I really do value the canon - not to mention the innumerable Americanisations that'd piss me off. XD

Give it time for the lengthy fic. Fingers crossed more will turn up with time. :D

No, no - I'm hugely snobby with fic. And I won't comment on a fic I didn't love because I just think, "UGH." Which is really rude of me, but man, it's true and I don't like to discourage people, but let's be honest - nobody actually wants concrit, even if they ask for it.

If it helps, I tend to write epic, non-porny fic in which I will usually take out at least one person's soul and dance on it.

I just need to arrange my ideas into a plot...
