Oh duckbuggery, I may be moving on Wednesday.

Er. I has lots. Aaaaaand I am not sure that I can afford the entire rent/deposit situation. Er. Will talk to current landlady about deposit/rent being returned, hope I don't get screwed too badly for the broken mirror and bowls, and discuss options re: split deposit paying with new landlord. If necessary I guess I could move my stuff in but not actually live there until first of Jan, thereby not really necessitating a deposit before then...

Ah, oh no, it really isn't a good time at all. Not that moving ever is - at least, I always turned into a stressed out emotional mess over it.
I hope things work out and you get as much of your deposit back as possible, and that both old and new-landlord are helpful about the whole thing.
