I really hope it's not David Jason as Aziraphale. He's make a much better Shadwell.

Mark Heap and Richard Coyle would rock my socks.

... Have they actually green lit GO?

Mm, I think Richard Coyle could do the twitchiness and material enthusiasm of Crowley very well.

HAHAHAHA RICHARD COYLE. I blinked at first, but I think I could see it!

No they have not. It's not going to be a four episode miniseries, and it's not going to be filmed in the UK.

And it wasn't Terry Pratchett who leaked it.

At least that's what I heard.

P.S. Mark Heap would make my day.

Hm, Mark Heap matches my mental picture of Aziraphale the best, I think. I can't think of anyone who's quite Crowley enough for me though.

Oh my. I do like the idea of Adrian Rawlins, and Mark Heap would be acceptable! If they cast Rufus Sewell as Crowley I have to admit I would be horrified. I do not find him even remotely attractive. Even a little bit. Also I suspect he is stalking me. But aside from all that, I do like the idea of Richard Coyle!

Who are we kidding, I'll love it even if it sucks. Even if they cast Rufus Sewell, and that's saying something. It will be very unlikely that it does not suck, so I'd better! I'll be spreading the word, anyway. I do love some good casting speculation. :)

(Edited for semi-hysterical typo. Not that I am semi-hysterical. At all.)

Agreed on all three counts (David Jason's got the comedy chops to play Shadwell really well, I think. Mark Heap, at least to judge by the photo, could pull off the "everyman" side of Aziraphale while seasoning it with the appropriate dose of high camp.)

Perhaps Steven Mangan as Newton Pulsifer? (Or is he too old?)

Now I'm trying to think how the Four Horsepersons would be cast. Marc Warren as Pollution? Probably several awesome actors on the shortlist to play Carmen Zuigiber/War.

Not sure for Aziraphale. Richard Coyle would be an awesome Crowley but his voice isn't quite right. Trouble is Coyle was a good Moist and I might get baffled. But then David Jason was in Hogfather and Colour of Magic and I coped.

IDK I've had trouble with picturing GO characters (which is why I haven't been able to do any fanart) because in my mind they're very, um, fluid? Like, I have a general image in my head but it seems to keep changing every time I read it.

That said, I think Rufus Sewell does look like he'd make an awesome Crowley.

I have not been watching Supernatural, so this is in no way influenced by their naming and casting, but - Mark Shepard: Crowley?

I can only ever, ever see Mark Sheppard as Crowley. As it is highly unlikely I will watch this anyway (I got burned by the Hogfather adaptation) I am sure I will cope with the inevitable disappointment.
