Jun. 26th, 2011 08:19 pm:D! HI!
So I am ridiculously dying of cough, today, but yesterday I had the whole cough cold fever sinuses package deal so I'm pretty grateful. I'm really far more stoic about these things when I have someone I live with to stoic at. When it's just me I tend to sniffle a lot and whinge on the internet, so sorry about that. I also have a weird skin-peeling-off-all-my-fingers thing, plus a Thomas the Tank Engine plaster covering a sweetcorn-induced injury. I am in seriously great shape, it's legen(wait for it....)dary!
On the plus side I have spent the entire weekend mainlining How I Met Your Mother in between hen parties and dying, so I'm now two series in and a little bit in love with Barney. :D
Work is as worky as ever, but I'm working with the knowledge that I've passed and I'm going to be there next year now, which is simultaneously great and terrifying - now I have to live with all the screw-ups I've made this year. There have been quite a few, admittedly, which is what being a new teacher is all about I think.
Mostly I am happy. The sun is out, okay. The sun is awesome. Some day I'll have a garden I can sit in when the sun is out, and there will be passion flowers and sunflowers and honeysuckle and wisteria and lavender and grass taller than small children (because I am lazy-ass, man) and I will have a deck chair, but while that's still not happening I'm pretty okay next to the window with a small breeze and my ivy plants. Even if they do keep trying to eat my stationery.
