Ugh peeps help me choooooooose!

I have decided to get me a Kindle because I've just shed a billion books and my soul is crying (and my grandma just gave me some money for no other reason than she wanted to, and she totally approves of readings :D)

Choices:

Kindle Keyboard (w/3G)

Pros: Can get books at a moment's notice, easy to annotate/make notes/find text, strikes me as sturdy, can have it immediately

Cons: £149, heavier

Kindle Touch

Pros: £109 (plus £12.99 for power adapter), X-ray feature sounds awesome, lighter, shiiiiny, on-screen keyboard etc.

Cons: apparently the keyboard's a bit clumsy, have to wait until I get home for books (OMG, right? I know!), not released until the 27th - although I will have plenty to read before then 'cos I'm taking four boxes of books home with me; IRRATIONAL FEAR OF TOUCHSCREENS omg the fragility...

Any thoughts?

Am putting fic up on AO3. My god, people, I have written nothing. This needs rectifying.

The Touch has wifi, you wouldn't have to wait til you got home all the time, you could find a coffee shop with free wifi or something.

I am biased: I have a keyboard Kindle 3G and I like it.

I have the kindle app on a touch-screen phone and I sometimes flip pages by accident and it annoys me. So er I would be against a touch-screen for me. Also I prefer hardware keyboards to onscreen keyboards, again, from mobile phone experience.
the x-ray feature sounds so shiny, though!

PS. you know that AO3 lets you download fics in kindle format? The .mobi files to download. You can have tons of stuff to read that is non-DRM and free.

If you're looking for feedback on different models, ebooks is pretty darned spectacular at answering questions and offering pros and cons. Definitely recommend that community if you're considering buying an ebook reaader. :)
