I couldn’t get up, today. I have arthritis, and an unexpected fire drill in the freezing cold was genuinely like being punched, in several places on my body at once. And I sat down when I got inside and I couldn’t get up, and people were laughing - not intentionally unkindly! But still - and the girl I was asking was making a joke that she’d make me wait for fifteen minutes or so so I couldn’t escape and would have to walk to the station with her (which I was planning to do anyway). I have genuinely never felt so helpless and so disabled before in my life.
So. Um. Don’t do that. That makes you an arsehole.
