I have a bit of a cold but I also have tea and gatorade and fizzy water and chocolates, and I am making at least some progress on the current writing project. :)

Yay! What are you writing about? Also what is gatorade? Is it a drink made from powder? I always got the impression it was like lucozade sport but I swear there was something powdery involved.

d'oh, pardon my US-centricity. Gatorade is, I think, like lucozade? It's a sports drink that comes in a number of real and imagined flavors and colors--I am drinking "Rain Berry," which is a lovely pinkish-purple color. I usually buy it in bottles ready to drink, but it does come in powder form, so if you're a sports team/athlete and need a lot of it you can make up your own. Not all of the flavors come in powder, though, and I'm not that fond of the ones that do. Rain Berry all the way, yo.

I am writing hockeyfic! I want it to be like 2k but the story wants to be like 20k and that is not happening so I am kind of wrestling with it.

Being from the US it is acceptable for you to be UScentric. ;D I just feel in a questioning mood, possibly because I am writing in a very American fandom for a change.

Ooh, what hockey? I love hockey fanfic and I'm faintly embarrassed by it but not nearly enough to stop; it's an endless mine of trope fic which I kind of love ridiculously.

Which fandom are you writing in? Teen Wolf? I haven't been able to get into the fic but I do like all of the pictures that come up on my tumblr feed.

Hee, Teen Wolf, yeah. My writing is pretty appalling but frankly I don't care, it's about getting the words out and not putting it off. Which... I did yesterday and in fact am right now. :/ I'm getting used to the schedule of at least 500 words a day, and my job's a bit depressing at the moment so I'm not always kicking my own arse hard enough.

500 words a day is awesome! I am terrible at keeping to a schedule and am in awe of you. What Teen Wolfiness are you writing?

The psychic wolves are like the ones in the Dira Sudis Every Marine a Wolfbrother series, so some people *have* psychic wolves but I am not turning anybody *into* one. Which sounds pretty awesome, actually.

They're turning out to be kind of more cuddly of wolves than they maybe should be, but whatever, what is wrong with cuddles?

Hee, can you tell I am on a werewolf kick? I automatically assumed shapeshifting. I have this idea for an original story about a mother who is desperately trying to find some medically applicable lycanthropy theory because there are werewolves but they only change mentally not physcially, and she's trying to save her kid from the death penalty because he killed somebody. I haven't thought it through properly though. XD

What I am writing at the moment is... one story about Stiles the magical PI with a bounty on his head who fakes his own death, and Derek Hale the unregistered Hound - because all werewolves have a sweet life working for the police but it's kind of indentured servitude thing - who helps him.

Also I am writing about how the Hales were giant hippies and Derek has a stupid real name and Stiles blogs about the zombie apocalypse.

Also I am writing a bad story about names and a Polish night hag. XD

And dude, there is so incredibly nothing wrong with cuddly wolves. It sounds kinda like heaven.

I took a break from my thesis, which I shouldn't have done, to write some fiction last night. IT WAS GREAT. Today I have to go back to working on my thesis, but I get a milkshake break with my cohort first!

Thank you! Sometimes I feel like I don't have a creative thought in my head and other days I feel like someone should insert a spigot or I shall explode and today's been kind of the former. XD

It's a short story about an annoying ghost and literalized metaphors! I don't know if it's going anywhere useful, but I hope it is. :D

Hee, I am weird in that I don't like things to be very sweet, but cookies and cream sounds amazing.

YAY LITERALISED METAPHORS! THIS ONE TIME I MADE A COMIC CALLED EMO KID AND LITERAL BOY. Literal boy got annoyed with emo kid's whining about the lack of baddies and said he'd become his arch nemesis. Unfortunately everything literal boy says comes true so he became DOKTOR LITERAL and started making a huge bomb and emo kid had a training montage and then wrote a poem about his feelings and DOCTOR LITERAL said 'oh man that was so sad I threw up all my evil' and then he did throw up all his evil and became literal boy again and they had a weak fistbump of great justice.

All of this happened in 8 panels I was very proud.

I am sleepy! Because I and a few friends accompanied two mutual friends who have been committed partners for 23 years to the municipal building so that they could have a civil union starting at 12:01 AM, now that Colorado has gotten on the train in the right direction!

... their ceremony was held at 3:57 AM.

I got to bed at 5, was at work at 9, and now it's 9:30 pm.

but oh such a good reason.
