Tiny sulky face because it's September and I can already feel the cold in my bones, small and not so small. I'd buy one of those ridiculous hippy llama jumpers except they seem to think hippies should be tiny people.

How do you keep warm in the creeping chill?

I go to sleep with a heating pad on. It turns off after an hour, but that is one awesome hour.

Fuzzy socks, or thick wooly ones if it's really cold. Not necessarily for walking around, depending on my shoes, but for kicking around the house. (Slipperiness is a concern if you have hardwood floors, though.)

Fingerless gloves. Layers! I have a giant hooded sweatshirt with Totoro's face on the front that's at least a size too large for me, and I love it, for kicking around the house or in the evening; it makes me feel like a little kid wrapped in a blanket.

I mostly have hot water bottles for that but frankly I resent having to use them this early in the year!

I have awesome slippers which are stripy red, pink, green, black, white, purple and green, with cuffs and buttons of white stars on purple. :D Glubs is an excellent plan, though.

Oooh, those DO sound like awesome slippers! I forgot that I have slippers too. They are fuzzy and shaped like penguins wearing little hats, and they cost me all of $15 or so; I love them forever. When I'm not wearing them they live under my bed, and the cats try to hide behind them or jostle with them for space. (There's plenty of space, but cats are competitive. Also animate, so they win in any battle with slippers.)

I knit myself a few pairs of fingerless gloves some years ago, and I have never regretted it. Also I just really like the look of them somehow; something about the scruffy look of woolen handmade fingerless gloves under a sweater or coat, and fingers poking free, just appeals to me. One pair has gotten kind of moth-eaten, though, and I really ought to either mend them or make another pair (or both).
