nnyAnother ljdrabblenight. Excellent turnout tonight, and some fantastic drabbles posted. And mine. *g*
The theme was Well Loved Potter Fanfic Titles.
A World Not So Black and White: Snape/Harry
He is not, perhaps, conventionally beautiful. His hair is a disaster, his skin strangely pale in the dungeon light, his eyes…
His eyes disturb people.
But looks aren’t important, not really. Acceptance is important, acceptance is what they have always wanted from life, and they know each other too intimately, too well not to find acceptance here. Not to find trust, and friendship, and ground-shaking rows, and earth-shattering orgasms…
Pale skin against pale skin, fingers against fingers against stomachs against faces against the mark on his arm that reminds him.
Snape’s skull has disappeared, but Harry’s phoenix tattoo will remain.

The Devil Will Drag You Under: Lucius/Voldemort
The young man licked his lips a little and smiled as the paintbrush moved, capturing the devil in him and binding it to the paper. Firelight flickered on Lucius’s skin as his lover tried to keep his attention on his task, grey-rimed head bent to look at the canvas.
“Please stay still, Lucius.”
The blonde man rolled over, onto his side, lazily stroked his cock.
“I want you to paint me, Lord.” The name was almost a joke between them.
“What do you think I *am* doing, Lucius?” The young man wasn’t listening.
“Here,” he stroked his hand down the centre of his chest “or here,” across his neck, “here, maybe,” his left arm.
Tom Riddle swallowed hard.
“Paint me. Mark me. *Hurt* *me*. Make me belong to you. Yours.”

A Good Buy: Wormtail/Anybody
“You’re sure they’ll stay on?”
“They stayed on when you went through the toilet roll, and they stayed on when you went through the rubbery tubing thing… trust me on this. It’ll be fine.”
“And you’re SURE?!”
“Wormtail, I swear to you, I’m sure. Do my plans ever go wrong? Are my purchases for you ever less than perfect?”
“No. S’pose not.”
“Go ahead and change, then.”
Peter changed into his animagus form, and watched through very different eyes as Sirius turned around and bent over.
It was with no great surprise, as he wiggled and squirmed his way through the narrow canal, that he felt the swimmers peg (only £5.99, plus VAT) work its way free from his nose.

Shattered: Lucius/Snape
There was a tale he had been told, once. Of demons that had created a mirror- a mirror so large that it took hundreds of them to carry it. That the mirror twisted everything, that each reflection was a hideous mockery of the thing that looked into it. Black became white, ugly became beautiful, good, bad…
That was how Lucius viewed Severus; his twisted, marred reflection.
Severus felt the same about him.
Of course, in the story, the demons tried to take the mirror to heaven. Of course, in the story, the mirror couldn’t stand to reflect something so good.
Of course, in the story, the mirror shattered.
One day, Snape saw that Harry had grown up. And that Lucius never had.
The mirror shattered.

Scars: Remus Lupin/Anyone
Lupin always wore long sleeves, even in the middle of the summer. Frayed cuffs a little too short, exposing bony wrists that could really use more flesh… not that Snape cared, of course. And if he made sure that House Elves took food along to Lupin’s quarters when he was too weak to get to the Great Hall, that was only so that he would still have a test-subject for his Wolfsbane experiments.
And when Sirius talked loudly about being marked, being dirty, he saw his convulsive hand movement towards his arm mirrored. Saw Lupin wince sometimes, lifting something after a full moon. Saw him scratch his arm absentmindedly, then hurriedly pull the sleeve back down.
And Lupin saw that he was always watching.
“I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.” There was no accusation in his voice. For the first time, with *anyone*. There was only understanding.

And now I'm off to bed. I have to shop tomorrow, and go to a party. Hard life, eh?
