Ummm, I got it in 200... Oh heck. 2003? Yes, thank you, LJ tags, it was right before my birthday in 2003. I had always wanted to get a tattoo, but where I grew up (Oklahoma) they were illegal (!?!). No tattoo parlors. So I had to move to Colorado and get around to it in my early thirties. I'd drawn the design as a doodle over and over, and, of course, it was inspired by HP since that was the height of my HP fandom time. I also wanted something to remind me of the magic in life. Green and purple are my favorite color combo (plus the green had Slytherin significance). So I decided "I shall get a tattoo" and went to the closest mall tattoo studio, and got it! It didn't hurt me - there were a few ouchy moments, but I was surprised by how little it pained me.

ILLEGAL?! Blimey. How utterly weird. What happens if you move to the place with a pre-existing condition? XD

It's actually the turtle in this icon, and it's on m lower back.
I've got my next three planned out, I just have to get the designs finalized and the money to get them installed.

Also the chutzpah to get back in the chair.

Nope! Am hideously averse to needles of all sorts, so the odds of me having a tattoo are roughly equal to "what are the odds that current technology has produced a printer where your body is the paper?" :D

Always suspected, however, that if I got one (some mysterious how) it would be one of two things, though -- either text, or some variety of bird.
