Aug. 7th, 2004 11:16 amI have got a new job. Two sundays of every month (my only day off each week, that's how much I want to do this... *g*) I will be working in a second hand book shop. It's weird and wonderful in there, run by hippies, and I have been completely unable to resist buying books every time I go in there. My last two purchases were a second hand Bible (to write Good Omens slash, and I think it probably counts as a ticket to hell) and "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, since I read 1984 and my flatmate said "if you liked that..."
The excellent part? I'm not going to be paid. Not in money, anyway. Instead I will get around £20 worth of books every time I work there. And I intend to work there as long as they want me.
So should anyone want me to look out for something for them, and be willing to reimburse me on postage costs, do let me know. There's only so much space in my room, after all.
