the world is being bludgeoned by rain, currently. It was so cool last night - I had to switch my computer off abruptly and therefore lost the two bookmarks I had gathered since my last drastic loss, but they weren't important ones. Anyway, yes, dramatic directly-overheadness of storm to the point where the house was actually vibrating under my feet and it was setting off car alarms. There were only a couple of lightning strikes, I think, but boy did they count. :D

My room is mostly tidy, with one big patch of woahmg mess for me to sort after work. Didn't quite manage it last night because apparently exertion makes arthritis hurt worse. Who'da thunk? I got a very little written on my

yuletide story and then proceeded to have something of a sulk fit in the 'I am a shit writer and also useless' vein, which I guess was kind of inevitable; this morning (I like mornings) I'm more inclined to be all 'hey, dude, I got something done.'

I do like mornings. I tend to be an obnoxiously morningy person, unless I've had less than four hours sleep. I suspect it's something my family will never forgive me for. They're not so much fun now, of course, middle-of-winter before the sun's come up, but I still manage to ~~bounce~~ heave and stagger my way out of bed and be coherent in under five minutes.

This'll probably be the feature I'll have to look for in a long term partner, really. Looks, personality, prospects, pfeh. I need someone who won't get homicidal when I'm chipper in the morning. XD
