I've had an awfully productive day. The sun was shining and the sky was crazily cloudinated, and Moby was playing on my iBop and making me want to dance, which is an urge I so very rarely get. I posted a hideously belated package to foreverdirt, went to the bank and argued with them about the £30 I actually didn't take out in London, bought WHSmith pens (which are quite the nicest biros in existence) and hid from Mormons in Shakeaway.

I also accidentally bought a book in Oxfam. It's called 'The Command of the Ocean' and adds to my lovely collection of naval history books which I keep not reading. I'm a bad person.

I've read 'A Pirate of Exquisite Mind' and 'Life Among Pirates: The romance and reality', and I suppose I ought to finish 'Rum, Sodomy and the Lash' sooner or later even though it's academically weak and hugely repetitive. Have yet to read most of 'Billy Ruffian', 'A General History of the Pirates', a history of the East India Company, 'The Voyage of the Beagle' (I think - the book's around here somewhere...) and this new one. Oh, and I have 'The Devil's Mariner' (about William Dampier - ♥!) from the library and really ought to read that before I move to Bath. My life's so hard.

There's this track on the At World's End soundtrack called 'At Wit's End' and in places it sounds really weirdly like music from the Due South episode 'Call of the Wild' and that is just NOT a place my brain needs to go thank you.

This is for lucythedragon because she drew me the most gorgeous picture when I was feeling low. It hasn't been beta read in any way and I'm only posting it tonight because I typed it directly into the update box and I can't be bothered to move it anywhere else. I don't think I got enough sleep last night.

This will be finished off tomorrow - assuming I wake up in the morning and don't hate it completely - and in the next part I promise there will actually be some slash. :D
