Aug. 19th, 2007 05:27 pmJust got a sudden urge to have Rodney refer to Sheppard - snidely, of course - as a 'practitioner of Hair Origami'.
*grins*
Have a wireless mouse now, since the old one kept dropping its ball. It's kind of freaking me out by actually doing what I want it to.
If you read SG:A at all,
indy_go has written a really lovely story called Half-life which you should go read.
It has a really wonderful sense of place to it, which is something I envy horribly and am trying to make myself aware of in my own writing. It's vaguely difficult, of course, coming from this side of the ocean, plus I'm not a very... I don't know. Sensual writer? My writing's entirely too matter-of-fact for my tastes, but I feel silly when I try anything else. I'll have to practice, descriptive writing exercises or something. I often forget to think of writing as a craft.

Aug. 19th, 2007 10:38 pmI have finally, finally seen A Cock and Bull Story. It's a film about the filming of Tristram Shandy, with additional bits about the filming of the film that's about the filming of Tristram Shandy, and every character overlaps with the actor overlaps with the character and it's chaotic and glorious.
I adore Rob Brydon, I always adore Rob Brydon, he was one of the very best things about Mirrormask and Marion and Geoff is genius and heartbreaking and he makes it so very difficult not to slash him with Steve Coogan. And there was Stephen Fry and Ian Hart and Dylan Moran and Shirley Henderson and Gillian Anderson and it was glorious!
Okay, I'm done flailing. Just... watch it, if you get the chance. Seriously.
Eeee, teeth!
