Oct. 9th, 2007 11:25 amSomething of a conflict of personalities with my flatmate, apparently. He keeps doing little things like pointedly telling people things that would be of use to me and ignoring my requests for information, giving everyone in the flat a lift to Uni except me, stuff like that. I'm not entirely sure what I've done to deserve this; I'm going to let him know that if I've offended him it was unintentional, but I'm not apologising unless I know I've done something wrong.
Possibly it's the fact that I apparently have some small amount of class bitterness that I wasn't aware of. ¬_¬ Just... we were having a conversation in which he mentioned wanting to do another Masters after this one, and I said that if I were to do that I'd have to earn some money first, take a couple of years out. To which he responded that, y'know, his education is a priority with his parents and if there's the choice between buying a fancy new car and paying for his fees, they'd choose the fees. I... bristled at the implications there, making note of the fact that my parents just can't actually afford either of those things. He got offended that I implied he's rich.
*shrugs*
Yet another thing that I'll have to cross off the list of things to talk to him about, I guess.
We got a new washing machine today, fingers crossed for the internet tomorrow. Because there was this whole thing this morning where I had to beg someone down the road for the bus fare to uni - two buses - because I had no money, no cash machine nearby, and no way of topping up my phone to call a taxi to get me a) to a cash machine and b) to uni. This complete lack of access to the outside world is... frustrating.
Oh, and my cough's getting worse. I'm gonna have to go back to the doctor and see about getting an inhaler again, I think.
Sorry. I'll be chipper again soon, I have no doubt. :)
