Lawdy but it's cold today. I should be going into town to buy clothes - significantly, more jumpers - but it's really difficult to motivate myself when my bedroom has three exterior walls and two windows and is therefore the most ridiculously frigid room in the house. I haven't even managed to make myself a cup of tea, yet, let alone doing the responsible getting bus and buying things part.

I ought to do some writing today, also. I'm terrible at [livejournal.com profile] wrisomifu - I'm supposed to write for 10 minutes every day, but so far I've managed ten minutes a day for two days, about an hour a few days later, and nothing again for a little while. So like I say, tonight I'll attempt to get something written, even if I have not the slightest clue what it'll be.

I also intend to get in touch with some people about my homophobia study thing and do some of the preliminary reading, and possibly watch Stardust. We'll see how I go.

One thing: if you have the time, and don't mind telling me, I'd really love to know what you do with your days. I mean, I know vague things about most people - someone's working in an office, someone else is studying, someone's being awesome in retail - but what're you up to, right now? Actually, I'm even going to screen the comments, and won't unscreen unless that's okay with you. How's that?

I'm insufferably nosy, see, and no one updates livejournal nearly enough for me.

I'm... marriage fics are not a particular kink of mine, I confess, but this so totally makes me want to have Rodney propose to John.

"I don't know what's sadder: that you wrote "MONKEYTIME" in binary or that I worked it out."

My flatmates are just being frickin' adorable.

Okay, yes, Princess and I had a small tiff where he said I was offensive because I called him a snob. This was after he'd said that people with Somerset accents couldn't afford to live in Bath, though, so I think my point was justified.

Regardless.

Princess is training up for a half marathon in the spring, and tends to go for six mile runs; recently, when he comes back, he's taken to throwing stones from the driveway up at MaggieNoodle's window. Maggie generally growls about how he's going to kill him, then proceeds to hang out of the window for anywhere up to ten minutes having a conversation that they could have - were they to wait 30 seconds - in the warmth of the house.

Oh, and Princess just prefaced a question to me with "Quickly, because I have to go hug Maggie, but - "

...so apparently I'm a big research dork and I had no idea. When the subject interests me, I mean. Man, universities are awesome - it's so sweet to see you have premium access rights to this content at the top of all this seriously interesting stuff.
