(no subject)

I am the king today! I've done some laundry, I've cleared all the rubbish out of my room and I've finally (after two nights in a sleeping bag) managed to stand up long enough to get my duvet covers changed. Therefore I feel that I should be allowed to excuse myself from the lack-of-homework guilt and just lay down until the room stops spinning faintly.

Stuff that has amused me while sick: Supernatural, obviously, and Stargate: Atlantis which should really go without saying; the many and varied Quarantine episode reviews - my favourite of these was written by seperis and includes an absolutely fantastic McShep 'ship manifesto; the idea of sga_episodefic; Stephen King's On Writing.

I'm going to buy a laptop soon, I think. Once I've cleared my overdraft, which should happen this month, I'll start saving. It'll come in handy when I'm teaching and, added bonus, will give me something to do when I'm sick in bed. Seems to happen far more often than I'd like.


ETA: You know how watching SG:A is kind of like watching SG-1's somewhat more attractive and apparently cooler (but secretly a hell of a lot dorkier) younger brother? And how said younger brother kinda copies is inspired by his older sibling? It's exactly the same thing with Supernatural. See, I was an enormous X-Files dork back in the day and I keep calling the episodes before I've seen more than ten minutes of them because I've seen them before.

Still lovin' it, though. :D
