ETA: Do I know anyone who's going to Shore Leave and would share a hotel room? Do I know anyone in or around Baltimore who would allow me to buy them food and snuggle them? Do I know anyone who would be interested in meeting up in New York in July? (I've never been!) Do I know anyone who's going to Shore Leave and would allow me to attach myself, limpet like, to their sides? Do I know anyone who has a vague interest in going to Shore Leave who I can pester and beg mercilessly until they come?

This leads to spending over an hour reading out a story, only to realise that the microphone is not actually PLUGGED IN, and the whole thing has been recorded on the shitty mic built into the laptop and is therefore COMPLETELY UNUSABLE.

I'd headdesk if I didn't think it'd cause more damage.
