Day of happy!

I forget which day I was on - either three or four, so I shall call it number 3 because then I have more excuses to find happy things for longer.

Today what is making me happy is Beirut. My flatmate Smaller introduced them to me with a song called Postcards from Italy which took a while to grow on me; they're different to most bands I listen to, but I found myself listening to them more and more, and now they're on my playlist at every opportunity. This morning's boot up the arse of my mood was a song called Long Island Sound, which came on just as I was rounding the corner to the residential area I get my lift from, just as the sun came up over the houses and warmed one side of my face into a smile.

A couple more: Le Moribond/My Family's Role in the World Revolution, which I can never stop myself bopping energetically to, and Mount Wroclai (Idle Days), the beginning of which always reminds me of the Amelie soundtrack.

The day didn't continue quite so good, sadly; I found out that I have to essentially rejig the entire plan I had made for the unit of work I'm teaching this term. I didn't think I'd be grateful that I didn't get nearly as much done over Easter as I'd hoped. :/

Also also, I want to write another [livejournal.com profile] mcsmooch but I can't think of what to write, so if you have a scenario you wanna see (or a prompt word, or whatever) lemme know and I shall do my bestest. ♥

From [livejournal.com profile] in_the_blue: what does your canon's twitter page look like?

*grins*

Okay, I have no idea how to code it to look like a twitter page, and for the sake of narrative continuity I have decided to put oldest first rather than last as it really ought to be.

Pegasus tweets... )

I'm too tired to link this and head this properly and stuff, I'll probably put it up on - er. Some community? Somewhere? tomorrow. It's been a GOOD LONG WHILE since I've been involved in Good Omens fandom, really.

My first long(ish) fic was Rearrangement, a gen-but-slash-really alternate take on the ending of the book.

The .mp3 of me reading it (because I am narcissistic and because no one else would want to) can be downloaded here.

It is 40 minutes and 53 seconds long, it is rated G, and I'd really appreciate feedback of any sort. It's been that sort of a day. ;)

And now I'm going to bed.
