Went on a school trip today to the Forest of Dean. We only did a small amount of the sculpture trail due to whiny kids and the necessity of toilet stops, but I'm noticeably fitter than last time I did it - next to no trouble on the hills. Looks like the mini workout routine I have is working; hell of a long way to go, but I'm chuffed in any case.
I'm not on a diet, see, I'm just trying to train myself only to eat when I'm hungry, which hasn't been something I've ever got the hang of before now. I find diets just end up almost fetishising the stuff you're not allowed, and that never works, along with using food as some kind of reward/punishment system. Instead I'm just eating when I'm hungry, maintaining my blood sugar level, and doing a bit of workout in the mornings and a bit of yoga in the evenings. Just want to feel like I can run without falling over, y'know?
My David Hasselhoff calendar still has far too many squares with 'NONE >:(' in place of the exercising times, but I'm training myself into it slowly. Biting off little chunks at a time, instead of my usual tactic of more than I can chew.
So small victory today. I'm still a grumpy toad, though. XD
