I have been away oop North for the entire weekend, and for the entire weekend I have been spoiled and looked after and introduced to awesome media and involved in interesting conversation and oh man, dude, the in jokes. I have flailed at the ridiculous gorgeousness of Óscar Jaenada as Cougar and Idris Elba as Heimdall, have found new appreciation for the male body thanks to the shirt-shedding antics of Ryan Reynolds, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, seen trailers for Green Lantern, X-Men First Class and Captain America, eaten more and better than I have in months, watched Rupert Graves kiss Stephen Mackintosh, been introduced to Garth Merenghi's Dark Place and developed a fanatical devotion to Bill Pullman (bitch).

Also Mickey Rourke is the silence.
