Mar. 27th, 2010 09:14 amHeee I like curry parties, I ended up with SO MUCH more food/beer than I started with. Also washing up, but we won't think about that yet.
Quietude lately due to remembering what it is I love about teaching, and spending a ridiculous amount of time on a Gothic project for... potentially year 8s, but currently my year 11 EAL students. It's based around a haunted house, and there's a floor for writing, a floor for reading and an attic for speaking and listening, each with different activities in each room based around the key skills. It's called Keys Kills House, because I am a dork. And freesound.org is the best resource ever.
Mental boot to the head - kids enjoy the lessons that I have enjoyed putting together and teaching. It's not that difficult. XD

Date: 2010-03-28 06:58 am (UTC)This is VERY true. I enjoyed books I read in school that most people report hating because of an enthusiastic teacher who loved the books himself. (Scarlet Letter for one) My history teachers on the other hand couldn't be arsed to enjoy their own subject, and as a result, I hated the course. <3s to you for being enthusiastic!
