mouseai is off to a flying start- loads of members, and 11 story/snippet/poem pieces already. Genius. *g*
Apart from that? Today has been uneventful. I worked, and learned how to press trousers properly... Woot? Then crazedferret came over, and we talked about an awful lot of things, and I lent her FAKE. She's seriously squeamish in some ways, and one of the rudest people I know in so many others. I reckon if I keep at it I can probably coax her into reading at least some of the less hardcore slash...
Then Smaller came over and we watched 28 days later- first time for her, about my third or fourth. I like that film... it still has the ability to make me squeak and hide behind cushions.
I should work on my submission for the comm, but I'm tired. Also, intimidated by the fantastic things that've already been submitted... *g*

I picked the name from a selection related to Muses- the idea of the festival seemed appropriate. Like so much of my vocabulary, it's a word I'm a little nervous of using because I have no idea how it should be said. *g*

M - like English "m".
O - short, like the "o" in "hot".
U - long, like the "oo" in "noose".
S - like English "s".
E - very short, like the "e" in "neck".
A - short, like the "a" in "father".
I - long, like the "ee" in "bee".
Pseudo-syllabic:
"ma/OO-seh-ah/ee". Although there are technically five syllables in the word (mah-OO-seh-ah-ee), the first and second syllables are elided, as are the fourth and fifth. Note that the emphasis is on the "u" of "mouseai" - in the actual Greek, the upsilon would have the accent.
(It's worth noting that neither "mouseai" nor "mwseai" (the "w" represents the lower-case omega) appears in my Liddell & Scott, but it's not necessarily comprehensive, so. :)
