I'm using my computer warily at the moment, typing with fingers crossed and all. It took over half an hour to start up and get on the internets, which probably isn't the best of signs. Ah well, we'll deal with the explosion when it happens, for the moment I shall eat, drink and be merry. Or I would, if I had any food in the house. XD

Just been home for most of the week, which was delightful and chilled and filled with sunbathing. Their computer is only marginally faster than mine, but considering I used to laugh mockingly when I used theirs this is kind of sad.

Haven't had time or computer power to catch up with people obviously; hope you're all good!

Oh, and does anyone have any board games to recommend? Played Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly in a friend's garden for the first time in forever, and dude it was so much fun!

My favorites are the most simple (deceptively simple?) board games: Go, Parcheesi, Backgammon (which also appear to be the oldest games apart from Chess, which I CAN NOT PLAY).

As a child, I loved Candyland and Chutes & Ladders (I think that's Snakes and Ladders in the UK?), but you may just be older than five *g*

Or Clue (Cluedo?)...I like that sometimes.

Backgammon is super-cool! Another game I love is pictionary. AND I CAN'T DRAW TO SAVE MY LIFE.

... come to think of it, maybe that's why I like it so much. :D

Another good one is Labyrinth (where you try to access different objects on a board -- it's a fairly strategic game), and also Cluedo (if that's its name in English -- it may just be called Clue. It's that game where colonel Mustard kills somebody in the library with a rope :D ). Cluedo is a lot of fun.
