There's just something about A MOUSE! EEEEK, A MOUSE! that turns even the most ungirly of us into that big woman from Tom & Jerry. Poor Supermouse, I guess, but if he can survive a toxic mousetrap home, he can survive a little singeing. Poor you, though!
And, yeah, we call it "the clicky thing" too, when there's one around. When there isn't, I usually set fire to the end of an unsharpened pencil and use that to light a burner.
