gaiamyles, Squee, Evanescence; 100 words.
Squee shuddered as the song on the radio finally registered. He slid a little further down in his seat until all that could be seen over the edge of the table was a pair of wide eyes.
“Wake me up inside…”
What, you think because I dress like this I like every teeny-bopper band that appeals to the mindless ‘alternative’ masses? You find it funny to sing at me? You think you KNOW me?!
“…save me from the dark…”
He hadn’t even known there was that much blood inside people.
He held onto his teddy tighter. “The world’s scary, Shmee.”

Forwickedtrue, Monkeys with typewriters, Wilde; 100 words.
It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors.
“Oh bloody…” The man turned to the room, the typing monkeys. “What have I told you lot? Put a roomful of bloody monkeys in a roomful of bloody typewriters and eventually you get the complete bleedin’ works of bleedin’ Shakespeare. Now knock it off with the bloody Wilde, will you?”
A leathery hand tugged his trousers.
“Oh, you. Go ahead. Can’t see why you bloody want ‘em.”
The Librarian gathered up the scattered papers and piled them in his arms. He liked to know that his collection was complete.

Chaucer smiled that very slow smile that he was particularly good at.
“Yes, yes. You’re going to fong me.” He stood in one fluid motion and walked closer to Wat, stopping an inch from the other man’s shaking finger. Wat’s face turned slowly redder as he struggled to articulate. “You’re going, I believe, to ‘fong’ me so hard that I can’t sit down for a week- wasn’t that your last offering?”
He seemed to consider for a moment, and then winked.
“I can’t say I’m entirely averse to the idea.”
Wat gaped at him, speechless for an entirely different reason.
