May. 2nd, 2005 10:44 amI'm actually a terrible person. I keep eating caramel fudge shortcake thing instead of breakfast because it's IN MY DRAWER and therefore EASIER THAN GOING DOWNSTAIRS.
...actually, now I think about it, I had it for dinner last night, too.
Um. When it runs out I might waste away. Oops?
Also? It's a beautiful daaaaay-hey-hey, it's a beautiful day.
I think I'll sit outside and see what inspires me.
But first I'm going to eat something with more nutritional content than a pillow.

Date: 2005-05-02 03:01 am (UTC)Actually it is 8pm and I am dying of essay stress, but I'm probably the closest to Hugh Jackman you're going to get. Which is kind of depressing really.
Hi!

Date: 2005-05-02 03:08 am (UTC)Sorry. Musicals kind of live in my head and emerge and inappropriate moments.

DAMMIT JI, WILL YOU PUT THAT CRAP AWAY?

Date: 2005-05-02 03:19 am (UTC)I think that's it.
I associate them with G&S in my head, which... ACK ACK ACK!

Date: 2005-05-02 03:31 am (UTC)?? You and Rami both! Joseph is insane, but fun.
Judas is indeed absolutely awesome, and I have never written for any other musical :D 'Gethsemane' is my pet semi-musical fanfic.
'Agony' is from Into The Woods - same composer as Bounce, not everyone likes Sondheim but Ji and I bond over him often.
I have never seen Evita. I keep meaning to.
G&S...I have never liked much, although I remain fond of Pirates of Penzance. I think they can be classified as something slightly different...more like operettas than the Rogers & Hammerstein kind of musical (they did Sound of Music, Oklahoma etc.), though G&S did do a few things like Trial By Jury which are operettas, so I'm just making shit up here and I'll stop now.
Nobody but me likes Cats. TS Eliot's poetry made even odder by Lloyd Webber's music with the best dancing ever. I will send you Les Mis and Wicked and Rent, because they are my favourite three and all very different.
You MUST read/see Phantom of the Opera - Maskerade is a hundred times funnier afterwards, and you with your Andre...
Please someone shove a sock in my mouth before I keep blabbing.

Date: 2005-05-02 03:36 am (UTC)I am listening to 'heaven on their minds'.
Stephen Sondheim, I am liking what I've heard so far. It's fun.
I know I need to see phantom, Sophie KEEPS TELLING ME. And I miss Andre. Perhaps that's what I'll spend today doing. Um. Writing him, that is. ANYWAY.
I dreamed about Johnny Depp last night, in Roux incarnation. DAMNED hot. So I'm a tad smug'n'happy today.

Date: 2005-05-02 03:49 am (UTC)I adore 'Hosanna' and the entire section from 'Blood Money' to 'Gethsemane'.
Sondheim has less catchy tunes but very fun and crazy lyrics and plots, as musicals go. Ooh! I missed The Producers, which is Mel Brooks but sounds vaguely Sondheimy. Ji will back me up here. It is crack in musical form.
Sophie is an intelligent gal and entirely correct. And if you write Andre I will love you forever. Again.
...that's not fair. Eternal love retracted. You may have temporary jealousy instead.

Date: 2005-05-02 03:55 am (UTC)I can't get Bounce out of my HEAD. So yeah, catchy, in my opinion. I have yet to see the Producers film, despite buying it for my brother two years ago. Dammit.
*grins* I had two Johnny Depp dreams, actually. In the second he still had long hair and scruffy and facial hair, but a ridiculous English accent.

Date: 2005-05-02 04:19 am (UTC)Perhaps I should attempt to fic that dream, because it's still so clear in my head.
It does argue that I spend too much time thinking about fandom, but... well, I really don't see a downside there.

Date: 2005-05-02 04:31 am (UTC)I like Hitchhikers, and I also like Red Dwarf. The TV series' up to. Um. I forget which series it was, but the one where it was no longer Grant Naylor but only one of the two, when it suddenly seemed to get a bit more toilet humour than usual, and I lost interest. And I like the books too, but I prefer the happy ending direction because I am a Big Girl.
And the rolling stones I am just starting to gain an appreciation for. My parents weren't into either them or the Beatles, so I'm kinda late getting into it.
Mum used to play Radiohead, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stereo MCs, Leftfield.
Dad was more into terrible terrible 'fine young cannibals' esque music, and also Portishead. My dad's weird.
Do you put the babies on spikes?
