nnyI think I've been tagged at least twice now, so.
Five by Five Film Meme
1.) Total number of films I own on DVD or video: Lots. Um... about 10-15 dvds, plus HOLY SHIT a lot of videos.
2.) Last film I bought: Wilbur (wants to kill himself) which is an absolutely fantastic bloody film; Scottish and dark humour and OMG BOOKSHOP and... Adrian Rawlins who looks weirdly like Aziraphael on this cover. Seriously, I watched the entire film thinking 'why the hell does he look so familiar?' and then I saw my copy and literally shrieked. I'm such a geek.
And apropos of nothing he also played James Potter in CoS and PoA.
3.) Last film I watched: That'd be the Reckoning, which Sophie bought me and I love her SO MUCH for because OMG PAUL BETTANY looking so utterly pretty and it's also a fantastic film. Although I have NO IDEA where the HELL Willem Dafoe was supposed to be from, precisely. It also confirmed my theory that Vincent Cassel has a face for sexual deviance.
4.) Five films I watch a lot (or that mean a lot to me): Hunh. Um...
The Princess Bride which I have been watching since I was about 11. It's ridiculously funny, and swashbuckling, and clever, and has an excellent cast, and oh I love it awfully.
Hard Core Logo because it's harsh, brutal, and yet has moments of throwaway silliness (like Pipe and his bellybutton) and I even bought the screenwriter's diary because I wanted to know more. And of course the prettiness of Callum Rennie doesn't hurt. (Watched it yet, Fahye?)
Velvet Goldmine. SO PRETTY. Pretty and witty and sparkly and gay. Boys in makeup and glitter getting it on. It took me a few watches to actually GET it, but... I want some Curt/Arthur, post-film. DEFINITELY. Oh, and Brian Molko is RIDICULOUSLY small.
Master and Commander, for all the little bits that my mum hated but MADE it for me. Jack's lame jokes and Stephen's bewildered expression and teaching Bonden to read and theirloveissomakingsweetmusictogether and oh hell, all of it, I adore it.
Er. *looks shifty* A Knight's Taleshutup. No, shut up. I KNOW IT'S BAD. BUT OMG CHAUCER!
