Jul. 2nd, 2005 12:02 amUm. One of the other dry-cleany shops has closed down. This means, I should imagine, that some time in the next week or so I shall be taken aside and told not to come back. They don't believe in things like notice, there.
I have no idea what to do. There doesn't seem to be all that much casual work around, and I haven't the wardrobe for office work. And I haven't the money for the wardrobe for office work. And I haven't the money for rent, really.
I'm more than a little worried, because my parents are poor and really can't afford to help me out. And I'm not entirely sure what I can possibly do about this.
Er.

Date: 2005-07-01 04:24 pm (UTC)And sorry, AIM is playing up. It's like... the evillest IM system ever. webaim doesn't work, AIM won't downloady, quickbuddy is the most annoying thing in the WORLD, and AIM on e-messenger needs refreshing every two seconds.
I hate AOL.

Admittedly it is pants about flashing its windows to let you know that you have messages. Especially in chat. But! It's something, at least. And not downloady.

Date: 2005-07-02 02:42 pm (UTC)Check with the school, see what they can do to help with placements. Wardrobe-wise, if that's what's stopping you from office work, there are sneaky things that can be done; secondhand shops and the like, at least here, often have tricksy ways to manage such.
And Viv is the queen of finding office-worthy clothes at prices I didn't think could exist -- latch onto her, I know she'll have advice.
