Oh help, I'm downloading an application form for a Proper Job. Is this wise? I don't know. I feel like I should stick to what I know, apply for bar work or shop work or something, but this genuinely looks like something I could do.

Ack. I spent part of yesterday handing in application forms and phoning people up about jobs for the summer, so I can sympathise. But I'd say go for it, definitely. Trying something new is generally a good idea, rather than getting stuck in a rut of just going for one kind of job.

If you think you can do it, then go for it. If you're ever going to work in a "proper" job, there's always going to have to be a first time, and it's only going to get scarier the longer you put it off. *hugs you*

Not to worry! Proper jobs usually pay more, but they can also eat up more of your time-- and if you get it, there's the validation of your skills-- and if you don't like it, you can always leave it. Don't fret. Being a grownup is no big deal.
