Aug. 3rd, 2005 02:37 amWeekend - I probably won't ever make a comprehensive post, because I always forget to do these things. Basically, I spent much of the weekend getting rained on, fourteen feet in the air, since I was assigned to fire tower six. I got to sound important on a radio, and serenaded an empty arena, and danced for policemen.
I managed to get sunburned in the ten minutes (literally) of sun over the entire weekend, but now I'm all brown and wow. I'd forgotten how well I tan. Should go outside more. Campsite toilets are disgusting, more so if you have a dicky tummy... I decided that throwing up would be done in the part of the field that remained free from camping, for the comfort of all concerned. I'm better now, though!
High points of the weekend included les Yeux Noir, the hip hop brass band, finding a Spoon CD for £7, and seeing Robert Plant. He played 'whole lotta love', too. And there was a cow on a stick in the audience, dancing around with light-up eyes, and it was the most evil and wonderful thing I have ever seen. Attempted to take pictures, shall inform of success.
Acquisitions:
Two Quint Buchholz (<3) postcards, and one by someone else I can't remember the name of.
Two big hippy skirts, one dark red and one green.
A Spoon CD.
Gorgeous cedarwood and sandalwood incense.
A badge that says 'Hated by the Daily Mail' which has pride of place on my bag.
If anyone wants to know anything else, do ask, for I'm sure I shan't remember to tell you.
ETA: Ooh! Forgot to mention the beautiful dark wood gothic mirror I got! I've had an empty picture hook glaring accusingly at me from over my fireplace for some time, now, and it is finally filled!
