Aug. 20th, 2005 01:26 pmI admit it. I have absolutely nothing to say, I'm just trolling for comments. I'm bored, man. I'd do a meme but there aren't many wandering around on my f-list right now, except that friends one which kept asking me if I was dating my housemate. Clearly I need to meet more LJ-ers.
Why is it that I can never remember the character I really want to play in milliways when I'm in the mood to be persuaded to new characters? Not that I am right now, of course, since I have too little characters and too much time. No, scratch that. Reverse it.
I should be writing but I have a little sister drawing at the table behind me and I'm unwilling to have her reprimand me again for not writing characters of my own.
Ah well. Hair still great. XD

Date: 2005-08-20 05:40 am (UTC)I'm listening to the small tinny drumbeats of my little sister's CD player that she's listening to entirely too loudly. I can't deal with drum and bass at the moment. My mother, I think, is disappointed in my music tastes.

Date: 2005-08-20 11:05 am (UTC)Arg, I've been getting that from my mom a lot recently. "Hannah, 'fan fiction' is just a practice in ego after a certain point!" ::sigh:: Well, I'm trying to write more original stuff...but fan fic is such a lovely escape when all you want is a quick putter in a fictional world.
Ah well. Hair still great. XD
Sweeet! ;P

Date: 2005-08-20 01:54 pm (UTC)Mum made me stand on a bench and pick blackberries today. I have had more thorns in my finger than is fair. I like my garden in Cardiff, with the paving stones and carefully regulated pots. I lie on my back out there and watch the stars, sometimes, which is unwise considering how large the slug was we found out there the other day. Although it wasn't, in fact, outside. It was actually brought in on the bottom of a bin bag and doing the macarena in the kitchen. Eew.

Date: 2005-08-20 04:16 pm (UTC)GodNeil Gaiman said somewhere, saving a story until you're more practiced at writing doesn't necessarily make it a better story; it just makes it a different one. So I'd give it a shot, anyway - what do you have to loose? I'm always afraid of messing up original things, and then I realize that once I set down one story I'll always eventually find another one to tell, and I can try again. And squee for snark icons! :)
