I have no hours left in my ever. Seriously, if I keep working at the rate I am working I will never have free time again. Another NQT advises me to organise things outside of school so I am guaranteed time not thinking about work; it is to laugh hollowly. Also my lower back hurts.

(No medical students are allowed to laugh at me. I know I'm only a teacher, I am aware how sad it is I have to kick-start my brains in the morning. ;))

I dunno if it helps but my friend went through exactly this, her first year teaching a full load and she said after that it got exponentially easier each time. And then she said she was glad she invested in that first year.

*hugs* I think that's good advice. You might not feel like you have the time/energy to do so at the moment, but having enforced "break times" really does wonders for my energy levels. And by break I mean not sitting in front of the computer watching TV on demand :)
