I should update my interests, only once I get to doing it I end up being about as interesting as the back of a spoon. I'm pretty sure a lot of those interests are a couple of years old, and far less applicable than they were, but it's the blank page that does it to me. An update box I can do, no trouble at all, but an interests list?

'...I like... books?'

What am I interested in?

I'm interested in the way people think. I'm interested in the world through your eyes, and the smell of paco rabanne pour elle and quite why I like it so much. I'm interested in antiques markets, and precisely what the 'tongue thing' in GoF might be, and tweed. I'm interested in literature, although very much as an outsider, and I have no interest at all any more in English Language as a degree subject or 'systemic functional grammar'. I'm interested in clocks, and why I am incapable of getting to work on time, and why pocket watches exert fascination. Victorian stage magic, handmade wings, the endless and varied varieties of apple tea.

And I know all of this will change tomorrow.

Because the backs of spoons, on certain days, are full of quiet interest.

That was beautiful. Perhaps you should just put that on your info page instead of trying to fiddle with your interests.

Did a post of mine inspire an interest? Maaahvellous.

You know you can take off interests you don't like by going here, and add them by browsing your friends and clicking "modify yours" after their interests if there something you want to steal.

If you can boil down what you're interested to and have it stay static, you're probably not someone I want to know. ;)

My interests list on my info page is carefully cultivated, but even still I change it regularly.

Ironically, one thing that never changes is my interest in people evolving themselves; not as a species or even in a Darwinian sense, but just in growing and expanding and trying new things and discarding old detritus. I worry that many of the people I know in this town have settled into a rut and stopped growing; I find that terribly boring. I love learning new things and doing new things. I want to travel and meet everyone and experience life from a totally new perspective.

And yes, I like pie and cookies. (In my first draft of my userinfo, years and years ago, I put that at the end--"I like pie and cookies." It's stayed there ever since, even though every single other word has changed over time. Heh.)

k I'll stop rambling now
