Dec. 27th, 2005 05:53 pmI'm BAAAAAA-AAAAAAACK!
It's really seriously damned cold in this here house. Boiler's on, radiators are slowly working, but damn. Speaking of DAYUM, I have eaten more in the last few days than in the entire year previous. I am moving very slowly and trying to keep my mouth closed as much as possible in case mashed potato falls out. I love mashed potato, and everything, but it's a little too fairytallic.
(Allic is now my favourite suffix.)
Christmas was ace, really. I got some fingerless gloves, a tea selection box, a cafetiere and coffee, the Da Vinci Code, (which I've been wanting to read so I don't have to pay attention to plot when I go see the film, and can merely drool at Paul Bettany), a Directors DVD of Jonathon Glazer, Gangster #1 and A Pirate of Exquisite Mind: The life of William Dampier - explorer, naturalist and buccaneer. There were also asorted makeup and chocolate things. My presents went down very well, and it's really gratifying to have enough money to be able to spoil my family.
Mum's being a bit odd now, because I have finally taken 'most all of my stuff out of their house. A couple of things still remain, but not a lot. I guess it's a big moment for her, but for me, I moved out three and a half years ago. I really don't intend on going back, I never did. It's odd.
Now I'm going to go make some toast and watch Paul Bettany being exceedingly unnerving, and exceedingly hot.
I seriously hope you all had a good Christmas, Yule, or whatever you happened to be celebrating. Or not. Either/or, really, whichever suits.
I hope you had a good few days.
