Clearly I aim to be a hedgehog, since the habit of placing pens behind my ear has got to the point where I will shove pens automatically behind my ear whether or not there is one there already. Generally I stop at two, but then I used to stop at only one. Where will the madness end? When you add in the pen or two I generally have shoved through my pony tail, and the pens that will no doubt hold up my hair just as soon as I manage to grow it long enough, my spiritual destiny becomes clear.

It's not a terribly noble animal, though, is it? So rarely are poems written; ode to a hedgehog. Shields and standards seem more inclined towards the eagles, lions... a hedgehog would only serve, I suspect, for Sir Tumbleweed.

I think I'd rather be a T-Rex.

I'm never sure if it's worse to hunt everywhere for a pen/pencil only to discover that you've tucked it behind your ear...or to reach for the pen/pencil that you're certain is there, only to start pawing at the side of your head when you find that the pen/pencil has somehow walked off of its own accord.

Or maybe that's just me. ^_^

On the plus side, you can never be buggered at all.

Hedgehogs are cute? At least so I think, even though we don't have them over here!

So- for cuteness, A (fuzzy) chocolate hedgehog that was in my Valentine's day candy (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y99/cupenny/chocHedgehog.jpg).

If the Other Computer's main disk hadn't DIED (thus we have to reinstall the scanner's driver, wah), I'd scan a picture of the Tadpole petting a hedgehog for you (yes, we had a hedgehog at the party). He was very cute, in a very non-T-Rex way, of course, but the kids really loved him.
