I had an interview this afternoon and I really think it went reasonably well. Much chuffedness about that. I'm very nearly done with my enormous archiving project, and my fic is entirely too short, as a whole. I shall have to work more on that, which I guess I'll have time to do if I'm not on the internets so much.

It's a gorgeous day today, sunny and cloudless, and I've had a nap so I'm feeling quite chirpy and listening to good music.

Speaking of which:

Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros, without the necessary accents because I don't speak any other languages and therefore don't know the keyboard shortcuts. I'm very cool, that way. Marvellous song that makes me grin, and I want you all to be grinning, so.

Hope you kids're having a good day.

Well done for the interview. I'll keep everything crossed for you. Was this for a local Cardiff job? And, just because I am totally nosey, who for/where?

*keeps everything crossed and hopes hard for good news*

Some kinda data entry job for Welsh Water. W00t! Which means getting from Donald Street to the Eastern Business Park every morning if I get it, which'll be interesting...

That's quite close to where I work (I googled and found a map) I think. Close to the end of the A48(M) between Cardiff Gate and St Mellons. I'm useless with busses, but I know that quite a few of my colleagues come from your area by bus to Cardiff Gate and it's not too much of a problem. Whether or not the bus goes on in your direction from there I don't know.

Anyway, good luck with getting an acceptance. I hope that needing to find a bus route becomes something you need to think about (if you get that?).

Then you'll be delighted to know that it's becoming a Joss Whedon multiseries fanvid in my head.

To be bookended by Wash's "Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die?" from Serenity and Xander's "...Oh god, we are gonna die, aren't we" from Buffy season 4.

:D?

It won't leave me alone.

The verse beginning "Baby gettin' born, old man dyin'" is entirely Firefly. See if you can guess what images go with what.

And "Babylon to Zion"?

(I was actually planning on Petaline's birthing scene for "Baby gettin' born," but yeah, Book gets to be the old man dyin'.)

Not a clue on that one, I'll confess. I haven't watched it nearly enough times.

I think you gave me a song of theirs/a song called that. And I have been listening to it and it's AWESOME and I want more.

Oh! Glee! I shall rip some more of it later on and send you. Because they are so damned good.

But not quite yet, for I must attempt to convince flatmate to watch a film with me. ;)

Hmmmm.

I'd thought of Persephone for Babylon, but now I can't remember why.

(And no, self, you are not allowed to use a shot of Amnon for "Zion," that's not what it means in this context.)
