Actually lately I've been considering swapping old books on Makeup Alley (http://www.makeupalley.com). It's really meant more for swapping cosmetics and such, but a lot of people also put DVDs, CDs, clothes, books, etc up for trade. I actually had a girl the other day tell me she'd rather get books in exchange for a lipstick I wanted than any of the cosmetics she had on her wishlist.
There's also stuff like this (http://www.readitswapit.co.uk/TheLibrary.aspx) and this (http://www.bookcrossing.com), of course, but being a makeup addict, I personally love Makeup Alley the most.
I personally suggest the Marketplace on Amazon.co.uk. You'll likely get a little less for them, but you'll be able to shift the books faster and there's a guaranteed audience. I made a fairly decent amount selling some of my old books/CDs through Amazon.
