I have never seen Lost or Veronica Mars. And I don't particularly care.
There, I feel better now. Anyone else have anything to get off their chest?

Date: 2006-05-10 03:14 am (UTC)Actually, I have VERY LITTLE in the way of loyalty to TV fandoms. Shocking.
In fact, if it doesn't involve David Attenborough or some sort of war I don't care in the slightest.

Date: 2006-05-10 03:28 am (UTC)I think I've been spoiled enough by Milliways and fanmix...
Lost, though, is the bad crack I can't tear myself away from. D:
As for this actually having a point, er, it doesn't. Hi! etc.

Date: 2006-05-10 04:12 am (UTC)Love VM, though.
And Supernatural fandom makes me want to hurl. An entire fandom focused on OMG TEH INCEST.

Date: 2006-05-10 04:33 am (UTC)VM...enh. I've got Milli!Lilly.
I read DT1, and am staring at DT2 right now, and...am not motivated. This is what I wish to confess? I guess?

Date: 2006-05-10 05:21 am (UTC)Many many many many people find themselves that way after DT1. I did, though I was also reading the unedited version, lo those many years ago. It gets better. and easier. but more importantly, better. I'm glad I listened to the person who rec'd them to me when I went to her with "wtf?" and she said "no, really, keep going."

Date: 2006-05-10 06:44 am (UTC)DT2 is a lot more interesting. If you're still feeling unmotivated after 2, then ... well. Right now, keep reading. Trust me.

Date: 2006-05-10 08:17 am (UTC)VMars I didn't get into and then I caught an episode at random last week and I went 'ooooh, she has an STD! Why does she have one? I want to hear the reason!' And I did. And Things happened! It was a surprise that I liked it well enough. Not love, but enough to download and borrow from others. We shall see if I hate it utterly!
And I hate Supernatural and Smallville. Don't like 'em. And I never liked Angel. Buffy was cute sometimes, but Angel. Eh.

Date: 2006-05-10 08:37 am (UTC)Lost: Season One was great...until I learned that the writers were making shit up as they went a long. Now the show is like being trapped in a LARP that just won't end.
Veronica Mars: My favorite Highly-Implausible-Teen-Drama of the day. First season...so implausible, yet so good. Second season....Well, the beginning and the end are good.
Supernatural: Can't be bothered. What?
The OC: Can't be bothered. What?
Smallville: It's not even fun to look for "The Gayest Moment of the Show" anymore. But lest you think I've lost my mind, I still want to lick chocolate sauce of Michael Rosenbaum's bald head.
Dark Tower: Meh. Too many coincidences. Just too many.
Twin Peaks: Made for film students and academics. Bizzare for bizzareness sake.
RENT: No actually you will pay rent, you whiney hipster bastards!
Firefly: Where the fuck were all you people when this show was on the air! I blame you for the fact that all we get is an incomplete series and a Fan-Fic wet dream of a movie.

Date: 2006-05-10 09:35 am (UTC)Smallville got bad. The first couple seasons were okay, but after that, it just went all downhill. I've seen none of season 5, and the only reason I want to see it is to lust after James Marsters.
Dark Tower got ruined for me by everyone using slang from in and Milliways. Now I have no desire to read it.
Yeah. That's what I've got.

It was bad.

Date: 2006-05-11 12:51 am (UTC)(I liked DT1. I am not sure how much I would have liked it if I hadn't already liked Roland from Milliways -- he's a lot grimmer in DT1 than he is in any of the following books, after he's got a ka-tet again.)

Also, I totally read 'grimmer' as 'grimier'. It worked for me.
