I can't remember what kind it is, but I found a nice 100GB one (which is more than enough space for me) for under a hundred dollars (I suck at dollars-->pounds, la) on newegg.com.

I have no idea how much more you might have to pay for shipping, though. I should stop before everyone catches on that I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

I've got a 60GB Iomega external HD that has survived 3 intercontinental moves and being dropped down two flights of stairs without ever losing any data ever.

I can definitely recommend it.
